About
About Best Spray Foam
An independent publication that reads spray foam paperwork so a DIYer or a small contractor does not have to. No brand owns it, pays it or sees a page before it goes up.
Best Spray Foam is not the BEEST brand
This site is called Best Spray Foam and sits at beestsprayfoam.com because bestsprayfoam.com was already taken. One of the products it reviews is sold under the brand name BEEST. There is no relationship between the two: not ownership, not sponsorship, not supply, not payment. The BEEST kit is read here under the same rules, and printed against the same criteria, as every other product.
What this site is
Best Spray Foam is a research publication about one narrow subject: the spray foam a person can buy in a can or a box and use themselves. It holds 65 product records, of which 8 insulation kits sit in a numbered order, and it compares them on what their makers publish rather than on how they feel in the hand.
We do not spray these products for a living and the site never pretends otherwise. What it does is desk work done properly: find the technical data sheet, read what it actually states, check the figure against the standard it cites, note what the listing claims that no document supports, and print the result with its source and its date beside it. Where a maker publishes nothing, the page says so, because an empty column is a finding.
How a ranking is built
Four things are confirmed for every product: a technical data sheet published by the maker, a category claim that can be checked against a document, a marketplace seller that is the brand or its single-brand distributor, and a feedback base of a hundred ratings or more. A product moves up by clearing one of those, not by being liked. Every position prints the evidence behind it, and where the order departs from the score, the reason sits next to the product.

Who writes it
A small team that works in the spray foam trade in the United States, publishing under the name Best Spray Foam research desk. The site is not owned, funded, staffed or controlled by any manufacturer, distributor or seller of the products it covers, and no such company sees a page before it is published or has any say in what it says. No legal entity has been registered for the publication yet; the terms page says what will be printed here when one is.
What it earns
Amazon Associates fees, and nothing else. Best Spray Foam carries no advertising, no sponsorship and no paid placement, and links to Walmart, to brand stores and to documents pay it nothing. The fee cannot change which products are covered, the order they sit in or what is said about them, because the order is set by a rule printed on the page it applies to.
Telling us we are wrong
Every page can be argued with, and the argument is public. A brand whose product is covered here can send a document, or tell us what is wrong, and have its answer printed beside ours: that is what the submissions page is for. Mistakes we find ourselves go into the corrections log with the date and what changed. Anything else reaches us at research@beestsprayfoam.com.
The sister site
The same owner publishes Spray Foam Guides, which teaches the building science and the job itself: where foam belongs in an assembly, what it cannot fix and how to work with it safely. This site answers which product, that one answers which method. Each says so where it links to the other.
