Akfix 892 Black Foam Sealant & Adhesive
The most figures of any black foam, yield, expansion and conductivity, on a January 2017 sheet that names the 24 oz gun can only.
3 of four things confirmed
These are the four things we could check for a black / landscape can, and nothing else. Not a performance score: nothing on this page was applied or tested by us. How the black / landscape page is ordered.
- Brand data sheeta technical data sheet is published by the brand
- Claim checkableYield, expansion and conductivity are printed with methods in a dated sheet, and that sheet is the 892P sheet: it names the 24 oz gun can and nothing else. The 12 oz straw can, which is the one most buyers take, has no document we found on the brand store or the listings, so the figures are not verified for it. The gun can carries its own mark.

Research summary, not a hands-on test. Product claims on this page are attributed to the sources and dates shown. Before use, read the exact product label, the current safety data sheet and the application instructions, and confirm ventilation, protective equipment, occupant isolation and re-entry or reoccupancy conditions. A surface-burning classification alone does not establish approval to leave foam exposed or to use it in a particular assembly.

Our reading
The most complete black foam sheet by figures, yield, expansion and conductivity with their methods, and the oldest document in the entire intake at January 2017. Old is not wrong, but a 2017 sheet on a 2026 listing is a question to ask. The straw 12 oz can, which is what most people buy (242 ratings, "200+ bought"), is not named on that sheet and has no document of its own that we found, so nothing on this page is verified for it.
Still open
- Sheet dated 2017; confirm it still describes the current formula.
- No sheet names the 12 oz straw can; the figures on file are from the 24 oz gun sheet.
- Six duplicate ASINs for the single 24 oz gun can.

Sizes and prices, latest read October 29, 2026
Each displayed price is what that listing showed on the date printed in its row; ratings were read October 29, 2026. A pack with no price is one where the listing showed none, where the figure contradicted another variant, or where its last successful read passed the freshness window. Prices are snapshots, each dated where it appears, not live figures, so check the seller before you pay.

Jobs where a can from this category is part of the answer
These pages name the category rather than this particular can. Each one sets out the constraint that decides the product for that assembly, the code section that applies, a worked quantity example, and where foam is the wrong answer.
- Vans and RVs As black and landscape foam. Stanley F903 and DAP Touch ’n Seal name RVs; the UV wording on the sheets is worth reading before you rely on the color.

Akfix has a right of reply
Everything on this page is a dated reading of documents that can change. If you make or sell this product, or you have read something here that is wrong, send the document. Every submission is read against the record; where it changes the record, the change is dated on the page, and where it does not, the reply says why. A submission cannot buy a position or remove a finding the documents still support, and what moves a record is written down.
