2 of four things confirmed
These are the four things we could check for a fire block can, and nothing else. Not a performance score: nothing on this page was applied or tested by us. How the fire block page is ordered.
- Brand data sheeta technical data sheet is published by the brand
- Claim checkableThe sheet prints a full UL 723 pair, flame spread 10 and smoke developed 15, but a surface-burning result does not establish fireblocking, and no through-penetration or room-corner test stands behind the claim. The B2 class is a German rating with no US equivalent.

Research summary, not a hands-on test. Product claims on this page are attributed to the sources and dates shown. Before use, read the exact product label, the current safety data sheet and the application instructions, and confirm ventilation, protective equipment, occupant isolation and re-entry or reoccupancy conditions. A surface-burning classification alone does not establish approval to leave foam exposed or to use it in a particular assembly.

The claim, in the seller's words
"Flame resistant, self-extinguishing polyurethane foam." "UL 723 Flame Spread: 10. Smoke Developed: 15." "DIN 4102-1 B2." The sheet also says the color is "easily identified by inspectors as an approved fire block penetration sealant." What the documents state

Our reading
A dated sheet with a full UL 723 result, flame spread 10 and smoke developed 15, and a stated yield, which puts it ahead of most of the category on paper. The sentence about inspectors recognizing the color does more work than it looks. It calls the can an "approved fire block penetration sealant", and three separate words in that phrase are doing unearned work. Nothing is approved by being orange; no code makes color a requirement or a result. No approval, listing or evaluation report number appears on the sheet, so there is nothing to look up. And "penetration sealant" is the vocabulary of firestopping, a different product class whose systems are tested through a penetration in a rated assembly; this sheet publishes no through-penetration result, and fireblocking, draftstopping and firestopping are separate things throughout this site

- The 24 oz straw listings are not covered by the 12 oz sheet.
- No approval, listing or report number behind the words "approved fire block penetration sealant".

Each displayed price is what that listing showed on the date printed in its row; ratings were read October 29, 2026. A pack with no price is one where the listing showed none, where the figure contradicted another variant, or where its last successful read passed the freshness window. Prices are snapshots, each dated where it appears, not live figures, so check the seller before you pay.
3 of the 5 listings below showed no purchase option on October 29, 2026, so they carry no price.

Jobs where a can from this category is part of the answer
These pages name the category rather than this particular can. Each one sets out the constraint that decides the product for that assembly, the code section that applies, a worked quantity example, and where foam is the wrong answer.
- Attics As fire block foam. Where a penetration between floors is a fireblocking location, the orange can needs a real surface-burning result; the fire block page sorts the claims.
- Garages As fire block foam. Penetrations through the separation wall are where a fireblocking claim is actually asked for.

Stanley has a right of reply
Everything on this page is a dated reading of documents that can change. If you make or sell this product, or you have read something here that is wrong, send the document. Every submission is read against the record; where it changes the record, the change is dated on the page, and where it does not, the reply says why. A submission cannot buy a position or remove a finding the documents still support, and what moves a record is written down.
