Kraken Bond vs Stanley: FastCoat and SuperCoat Compared
Same box, same claim: 24 cans, 480 board feet at 1 inch, 650.4 net ounces. FastCoat prints its fire result on its own data sheet and Stanley does not print one at all. Stanley has the better marketplace row, 4.4 from 310 ratings read October 27 against FastCoat’s 4 from 429 read September 12, and on the latest readings FastCoat was the cheaper of the two at $359.99 against $389.95.
The short answer
Which one, and when neither
-
FastCoat, if what a buyer can read decides it
Kraken Bond publishes the data sheet with a date and a revision, the safety data sheet and the user manual, and the fire result is on the sheet itself. The Stanley sheet has no fire section at all, so the only fire evidence for SuperCoat is a report our desk has seen and the maker does not publish. On the latest readings FastCoat was $29.96 less for the same 24-can kit, and 275 of the 283 reviews the Kraken Bond store serves are tied to an order in that shop, 97%. #1 at 86.7 against #3 at 79.8.
-
SuperCoat, if the marketplace record decides it
The exact Stanley 24-can listing showed 4.4 from 310 ratings on October 27, with the rating pool shared across its variation family; the September 8 histogram showed 6% one star. FastCoat showed 4 from 429 on September 12, with 13% one star in the September 8 histogram. Stanley also publishes a dated data sheet and a safety data sheet on one documents page. It sells through retailers rather than a store of its own, which is why the verified-purchase row can only be read on one side of this pair.
-
Neither, if the 480 board feet is your material takeoff
Both figures are maker claims at 1 inch under stated conditions, from the same 650.4 ounces of foam, and neither is a yield measured on a wall. Both kits are sold as Class A, which is a band and not a score, flame spread 0 to 25 and smoke developed 0 to 450. Neither sheet prints a density, so the one performance row that would separate them on paper is missing from both.

What would change this
The missing piece, named
- A fire section on the Stanley data sheet, naming the standard, the indices and the tested thickness, would close the row where FastCoat leads today.
- A Stanley store with a review widget would make the verified-purchase comparison possible at all. It exists for FastCoat and there is nothing to read on the other side.
- A density figure on either sheet would settle the performance row that is blank for both of them.
Asked about this pair
Questions people type, answered from the records
Which is cheaper, FastCoat or SuperCoat?
On the latest readings, FastCoat at $359.99 at the Kraken Bond store against SuperCoat at $389.95 at Walmart, both read on October 29, 2026. FastCoat was $29.96 less for the same 24-can kit, which is $0.55 an ounce for FastCoat against $0.60 for SuperCoat. Prices here are dated snapshots, so confirm the seller before you pay.
Does Stanley publish a fire result for SuperCoat?
Not on the data sheet. The sheet has no fire section at all: no standard, no index, no tested thickness. Our desk has seen a test report that carries the brand name and both surface-burning indices, and Stanley does not publish it, so neither do we. FastCoat prints its result on its own sheet. Class A in this test system is a band rather than a score, flame spread 0 to 25 and smoke developed 0 to 450.
Why is there no store review figure for SuperCoat?
Stanley sells through retailers rather than direct, so there is no brand store with a review widget to read. For FastCoat the pair is 275 of 283 reviews tied to an order in the shop, 97%, at a 4.66 average, read on September 12, 2026.
Do they claim the same coverage?
Yes. Both state 480 board feet at 1 inch for a 24-can kit of 650.4 net ounces. That is a published claim under the maker’s stated conditions, not installed yield.
What else do Kraken Bond and Stanley sell in spray foam?
Both list a pest block foam, a gap and crack filler, a window and door foam, a fire block foam, a black landscape foam, a wide spray can and a fence post foam. Every Kraken Bond shelf has a record on this site except its Xtreme Pro window and door and fire block gun cans and its fence post foam, which was sold out when we read both sites on October 18, 2026. Stanley lists two gap fillers, three window and door foams and two fire block foams that all have records here; its F993P pest block and F903P black foam gun cans, its F995 wide foam and its F996 post fix foam are not tracked yet. Stanley also lists a two-canister SuperCoat kit, F994C, which is read on our two-component page. Neither brand’s adhesive foams, silicones and glues are tracked here.
How this page is built
Nothing here was sprayed by us
This comparison reads what each maker publishes and what the listings show; it is not a hands-on test. Every figure in the tables comes from the product records behind the full record pages, with the document it came from and the date we read it, and it changes on this page the day a record is re-read. A side is marked ahead only when both were measured the same way, or when only one maker put the figure in writing. The rules behind the order on the category pages are in the methodology.

A question these pages do not answer yet? Send it to the desk. Questions are answered from the same records as every page here, the makers’ documents and the listings, and are not published as they are sent.
When the records can answer one, it becomes a question page with a dated note that a reader asked it. Your name and address are never published. We cannot answer every question, and we cannot judge one house we have not seen.
Tell us if something here is wrong
Everything on this page is a dated reading of documents that can change. If you make or sell this product, or you have read something here that is wrong, send the document. Every submission is read against the record; where it changes the record, the change is dated on the page, and where it does not, the reply says why. A submission cannot buy a position or remove a finding the documents still support, and what moves a record is written down.
